ABOUT DERRY HOME TUTORS

Who We Are

We believe in empowering students with the study skills and learning resources they need to achieve academic success. Our professional tutoring services are open to students of all ages and levels of experience. 

From GCSE (min age is year 11 at O’level) to GCE AS and A2 (1st and 2nd year A’level), up to 3rd level further education, professional development, university undergraduate degree. All ages and learning abilities welcome. Mature students and those returning to/or continuing in education for professional development etc. is a speciality.

I have been a Full-time professional tutor for 30+ years in the Derry area. I have a near 100% success rate with many, many 100's of past students.

I’ve been tutoring mathematics and physics for many years and my abilities as a private tutor are very well known by most of the schools and teachers in the area. I have students from all over the UK and Ireland on my books. I'm a fully qualified teacher / university lecturer and Member of the Institute of Physics in Ireland. My doctorate is in Astrophysics / Space Sciences, Masters in Computing and Robotics and BSc in Modern Physics.

The tuition is from a purpose-built home office where all the resources, past papers, teaching materials and study aids my students need are available. These are in digital and paper form and will be given to students as and when needed.  Each tuition session is 1 hour in length (+/- 10mins) and the cost varies depending on the study level. Each session consists of face to face interactive, specialised, tailored tutorial with each session dedicated to your own needs - there is NO group work. Your work is unique to you.
